CBD Hemp Flower

What is CBD Hemp Flower?

Hemp, or Cannabis sativa L., contains low levels of the intoxicating phytocannabinoid known as Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and high levels of the non-intoxicating phytocannabinoid Cannabidiol (CBD). This means that hemp can be grown to produce pungent, potent, and tasty flower that does not "get you high." The earliest record of hemp use dates back to ancient Mesopotamia, over 10,000 years ago.

Today, hemp is grown for industrial applications and for its cannabinoids—mainly CBD. When the female hemp plants flower, they produce beautiful buds that can be harvested, dried, and cured for consumption.

Why CBD Hemp Flower?

CBD Hemp flower, or hemp flower, has become increasingly popular since the USDA 2018 Farm Bill federally legalized hemp. Most hemp flower consumers are looking for an alternative to tobacco or want the benefits of cannabis without “getting high.”

Hemp is most effective when ingested naturally and unadulterated. That’s because unprocessed hemp retains all of the beneficial compounds it naturally produces. Keeping these cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids intact allows the hemp to retain its taste, flavor, and most importantly, biological value. As an alternative to hemp flower, we also offer Full-Spectrum and THC-Free tinctures, edibles, and topicals.

Not all hemp is created equal.

As plant geneticists, we do not manipulate genetic sequences to produce desired results. Instead, we prescribe to natural seed. We pride ourselves on breeding resilient cultivars that express desired terpene profiles and produce potent flower--all through natural breeding processes. All of our hemp is derived from natural seed, and never from force-feminized seed, to ensure our products are non-GMO and remain all natural.

As farmers, we grow hemp to produce a variety of products, each of which benefits from a unique agronomy. When it came to hemp flower available to consumers, we were dissatisfied with the quality. We found plenty of hemp flower that was grown in greenhouses or outdoors, but very few options for true premium hemp flower grown indoors. Outdoor hemp crops are subject to the elements of nature that degrade the compounds that give hemp its taste and potency. That is why we believe outdoor hemp is better suited for industrial applications or processing to create CBD products. And while the quality of greenhouse hemp is generally better than outdoor hemp, greenhouses are limited to the quality they can produce because they don’t allow for full control of the growing environment. Don't just take our word for it, try Ibis Miami hemp flower and taste the difference.
